What do you want to change?

There are many repressed emotions, stemming from all kinds of events, that I've guided people to re-evaluating and subsequently expressing and releasing. From guilt, sadness, and grief, to fear, frustration, and anger. These emotions all served a purpose at one time, and may again in the future. It's when they've stayed buried and unexpressed, affecting our lives inside and out, that they need to be released.

There are choices on how we want to respond in any situation, but sometimes we're on autopilot and we don't see the choices in front of us. So we unconsciously respond before we can consciously make the choice of how to respond. When someone says or does something that makes us angry, we can either express that emotion, or we can swallow it, burying it with the others. These emotions create feelings in our body. They build pain and resentment and eventually create physical illness or worse. What's lingering inside you right now? Do you get a feeling when you think of a certain event in your life? Has that feeling been with you this entire time? Don't let it continue to fester inside of you.
There is a path to healing through true expression. It's time to release those old emotions from your mind and body.

How is change accomplished?

In addition to a decade of my own studies in human behavior, I have been professionally trained in change-work as well (see the About me page). My strengths center around my abilities to not only ask the right questions, but to also understand the answers from more than just the words you use. There are many non-verbal clues to feelings and behavior. When I help you uncover the messages below the surface, worlds of possibility reveal themselves.

To guide you to full self-expression and positive change, I use powerful tools and techniques developed from my training and research in hypnosis and neural-linguistics (NLP). Both use specific language and processes that guide you to think in ways you haven't thought before. When you're thinking differently, you have more choices to feel differently.

Hypnosis and NLP are powerful techniques of change. However, I'm amazed that even today, many people have a misconception of what they really are. I've done my best to present both in the article below, so I hope these insights address any concerns you may have.

If you think you've never been hypnotized, think again.

Have you ever listened to a song that affected you so powerfully that time seemed to stop?
Have you ever gotten so engrossed in a book that you couldn't put it down?
Maybe you you got entirely focused on a project when you finally realized the day was over hours ago...

These are hypnotic states that we experience every day.
There are many more too. In fact, almost anything that keeps your focus for any length of time can be considered hypnosis. The best example is daydreaming. When you daydream, you are awake, yet you are experiencing the images and sounds, and most of the time, the feelings and emotions, of everything you are imagining.
Even though it's only in your imagination, your mind acts as if it is real.

Drifting into that hypnotic state when guided by a professional can lead to amazing changes. Drifting into the trance generated from a TV show or movie is a real gamble. What you spend your time watching and listening to is how you are wiring your brain. It's all a matter of what you want to your unconscious mind to absorb.

We are all being hypnotized all the time. What it comes down to is by whom, or what source, we choose to be hypnotized. Make the choices that are right for you
